GRASSROOTS members look at a Teen Council interpretation of Zittel's "Escape Vehicles"

GRASSROOTS offered a chance for local art educators and community members to view Andrea Zittel’s exhibition Critical Space at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. Afterward, we discussed the issues Zittel raised about human existence in the 21st century and the educational implications and possibilities of this body of work.

Participants also viewed the CAMH Educator’s Resource Packet and the Teen Council’s "Escape Vehicles," and talked about ways to address these concepts in our own art education efforts.
